The Anaheim Ducks will be donning some new threads and even a new logo in the fall.

Inspired by the Mighty Duck logo of the early 1990s, Anaheim is ditching the metallic gold and black ‘D’ emblem for the 2024-25 season and replacing it with a revamped Mighty Duck logo featuring a distinct orange look as part of their rebrand.

After teasing the idea of their rebrand earlier this month, the Ducks made their appearance change official on Wednesday, showing off their new jerseys for next season as well as a new logo via their social media platforms.

This is the Ducks’ first jersey change since 2014 and hinges on a faster, more exciting and more aggressive identity in the years to come.

The Ducks confirmed that the new look presents: “a return to the pinnacle of ‘90s hockey fashion,” with the goal of the rebrand to embrace an “unexpected aggression that defines a path forward.”

Both jerseys will incorporate orange in their design, which the Ducks attribute to resembling the likes of Orange County, the region of Southern California in which Anaheim resides.

“As our organization enters a new chapter of Anaheim Ducks hockey, we are proud to reveal our new, refreshed logo and uniform kit that identifies with the Orange County community,” said Ducks owners Susan and Henry Samueli.

“The Ducks are a symbol of Orange County, and our pivot to orange with an updated, iconic logo encompasses our past, present and future.”

The longtime primary logo, shaped in a ‘D’ to resemble the foot of a duck, will be prominently featured as a shoulder patch on each of the sweaters starting this fall.

The jerseys also feature the Fanatics logo above the nameplate. The sports merchandise giant will be the new on-ice jersey provider across the NHL starting this season, replacing Adidas after seven years.
