Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden denied a report that the team is shopping standout receiver Amari Cooper.

“I haven’t heard that,” Gruden said Sunday after a 27-3 shellacking at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in London, England dropped the Raiders to 1-5, according to Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area.

“I’m not (shopping him),” he continued. “I’m not. I’m just sorry to have to deal with a lot of these reports. I just hope Amari’s okay. Like I said, he’s going to be a big part of our pass offense.”

Cooper left Sunday’s game with injured ribs. The former fourth overall pick has just 280 yards and one touchdown through six games and is on pace to fall short of the 1,000-yard mark for the second straight season.

The 24-year-old dazzled through his first two seasons in the league, but has fallen off over the last year-plus.

Cooper is under contract through the 2019 season. There have been plenty of questions about the Raiders’ willingness to dole out a big-money extension for Cooper, especially after they chose to trade star pass-rusher Khalil Mack rather than pay top dollar to retain him.
