Phil Jackson has some advice for anxious Knicks fans: Stay calm.

“I think we know what we’re doing, that’s what I can say to (the fans),” the Knicks’ president of basketball operations told MSG Networks’ Al Trautwig in an interview Wednesday night.

“Although it’s not been apparent in our records the last couple years,” admitted Jackson.

“We’ve grown from within. We’ve got young players that are on their move up. It takes time to rebuild with youth. I think (the fans) have confidence in the fact that we’re going to have good players and we’re going to have a good team and we’re going to be on the court competitive.”

Jackson’s words come at a time when the Knicks’ top front office executive has attempted to publicly bully franchise star Carmelo Anthony into waiving his no-trade clause, while also suggesting that rising star Kristaps Porzingis’ future with the team could be in peril because of his mild insubordination.

To his credit, Jackson has found modest success at drawing criticism away from team owner James Dolan, who has been laying low as semi-pro blues-rock singer since his own public feud with Knicks legend Charles Oakley.
