Marc Methot wasn’t a Vegas Golden Knight for long.

The expansion franchise traded the defenseman to the Dallas Stars on Monday.

Vegas received a second-round pick in 2020 and the rights to goaltender Dylan Ferguson, whom the Stars picked 194th overall Saturday.

The Golden Knights plucked Methot from the Ottawa Senators in the expansion draft Wednesday night.

“He has proven to be a capable and steady defenseman that can play well with an offensive-minded partner, and he will add a tremendous amount of leadership and experience to our blueline,” Stars general manager Jim Nill said in a statement Monday night.
