San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich picked apart president Donald Trump ahead of Sunday’s showdown against the Golden State Warriors.

Popovich went in on Trump’s lack of character, all while refusing to utter the 45th president’s name after a reporter asked him if Trump’s dealings were distracting.

“Absolutely. It’s interesting that you asked that because usually, things happen in the world and you go to work, you got your family, you got your friends, and you do what you do,” Popovich began.

“But I feel like there’s a cloud, a pall, hanging over the whole country in a paranoid, surreal kind of way.

“It has nothing to do with the Democrats losing the election. It’s got to do with the way one individual conducts himself. That’s embarrassing, it’s dangerous to our institutions and what we stand for, and what we expect this country to be.

“For this individual he’s in a game show, and everything that happens begins and ends with him, not our people and our country. Every time he talks about those things that’s just a rouse, that’s just disingenuous, cynical, and fake.”

Trump fired former FBI director James Comey days after Comey “asked the Justice Department for more prosecutors and other personnel to accelerate the bureau’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the presidential election,” according to The New York Times.
