Number five couldn’t have been more thrilling.

The New England Patriots added yet another Lombardi Trophy to their collection after staging the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

Staying the course despite going down 25 points in the second half, the Patriots chipped away and put together five unanswered scoring drives to tie the game at 28 late in the fourth quarter and force overtime.

After winning the coin toss to put the ball back in Tom Brady‘s hands, New England needed just eight plays to march down the field and cap off the win with a 2-yard run from James White.

The Patriots’ fifth title comes in the seventh Super Bowl appearance with Brady and Bill Belichick leading the way, effectively solidifying their place as the most successful quarterback-head coach tandem the league has ever seen.

Brady set Super Bowl records for passing yards (466), completions (43), and pass attempts (62) en route to the epic comeback. He was also named MVP for the fourth time in his career, breaking a tie with Joe Montana for another all-time mark.
