Henry Burris is going out on top.

The Ottawa RedBlacks quarterback is expected to announce his retirement Tuesday, according to Farhan Lalji of TSN.

Burris is coming off a Grey Cup win over the Calgary Stampeders in which he threw for 461 yards and three scores. The 41-year-old split time with Trevor Harris this season, and while Burris took command of the job late in the year and throughout the playoffs, the much younger Harris projects to be the RedBlacks’ starter for the foreseeable future.

There were some whispers that Burris could head to the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but the pivot squashed those rumors earlier this month.

Burris has played 17 seasons in the CFL and has thrown for 63,227 yards with 374 touchdowns, good enough for third all time in both categories. In addition to capturing the Grey Cup in 2016, Burris was also a part of championship squads in 2008 and 1998.

He’s also a two-time Grey Cup MVP and twice was named the league’s Most Outstanding Player.
