After a disastrous two weeks that saw his Cincinnati Reds lose 11 of 12 games, team owner Bob Castellini told reporters he has no plans to make a personnel change with the franchise.

“Bryan (Price) is our manager,” Castellini said of the Reds skipper ahead of Thursday night’s 1-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. “We’re not making a change this year.”

The Reds have now fallen behind the Milwaukee Brewers for last place in the NL Central with a 52-74 record on the season. Despite the struggles, Castellini is also standing behind general manager Walt Jocketty who traded starters Johnny Cueto and Mike Leake after his owner signed off on a rebuild.

“I thought the trade with Kansas City was a very good one,” Castellini said. “We’re adding to our pitching staff, to the bullpen and the rotation. We’ll see some of those young players up the first of September.”

With both Price and Jocketty entering the final year of their respective contract in 2016, it’s unsure if either man has a long-term future with the Reds, but the owner believes there is a bright future for the squad as they move toward a second consecutive losing season.

“When you go through this, everyone thinks there’s no light at the end of the tunnel,” he said. “There is. We’ll be fine.”
